The Product Designer is responsible for the end-to-end design and user experience of Trayport’s trading platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create intuitive and effective user interfaces that meet the needs of energy traders and brokers. This role also involves conducting user research, developing and refining design workflows, and ensuring consistency across digital touchpoints.
• You center your design process around user needs, creating solutions grounded in empathy and business goals. • You balance pragmatism and polish—knowing when to persevere in the details and when to quickly prototype and iterate. • You are collaborative and seek diverse perspectives, incorporating both data and emotional insight into your process. • You are comfortable taking ownership of a product area and are confident advocating for user-centered design with cross-functional teams. • You are equally capable of initiating designs from scratch or refining existing elements to elevate user experience.
• Drive the end-to-end product design lifecycle—from discovery and research to wireframes, prototypes, and final UI specifications. • Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate user problems into effective and beautiful design solutions. • Maintain coherent user experiences across all client-facing applications, ensuring brand consistency and usability. • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to gain insight into the needs of energy traders and brokers. • Act as the design voice in agile development teams, validating assumptions and informing iterations with prototypes. • Own the full design delivery process, including presentations to stakeholders and final handoff to development.
