UX Lead at RSSB, responsible for leading user-centered design and contributing to the development of digital products used across the railway industry.

👤    Who you are

• You hold a relevant qualification in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field. • You bring extensive experience in UX design, including hands-on work with wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. • You are proficient in industry-standard design tools, such as Figma, and have a proven track record in creating effective data visualizations. • You understand the software development lifecycle and can confidently navigate its controls and governance. • You are an effective communicator, capable of tailoring your message to various audiences, and comfortable working collaboratively in dynamic and evolving industries.

📑    What the job involves

• Embed user-centred design principles across all digital projects and processes at RSSB. • Ensure that all digital products meet design quality benchmarks and comply with current accessibility standards. • Align user experience objectives with overarching business goals through consistent communication with cross-functional teams like engineering and product management. • Create and implement user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to drive data-informed design decisions. • Lead UX initiatives for strategic, complex, or large-scale digital products from concept through delivery. • Conduct UX analysis to identify user requirements, environmental constraints, and optimal interaction models. • Design and iterate on user interfaces, wireframes, and journey maps to communicate design intent and improve usability. • Maintain and utilize a unified design system to promote coherence, usability, and efficiency across digital products.
