• You have over 10 years of experience in digital product/UX design, including at least 4 years in a lead role • You bring a relevant portfolio that highlights your UX contributions on multiple complex products • You are proficient in design tools like Figma and prototyping tools, and fluent in remote collaboration platforms like Slack, Miro, and Zoom • You possess strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design intents and collaborate across diverse stakeholders • You have a deep understanding of design accessibility standards including WCAG and how they impact inclusive design for global audiences • You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments • You stay current with design trends, industry technologies, and best practices in UX and product design
• Define and drive the UX vision for BBC Studios products, ensuring it aligns with global product strategies and business goals • Lead design for end-to-end user experiences across mobile, web, and app platforms, enhancing BBC's digital news and factual content accessibility • Advocate for User-Centered Design by conducting user research, producing wireframes and prototypes, and validating designs through testing • Map complex user journeys across touchpoints and platforms to optimize accessibility, navigation, and storytelling flow • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including editorial, product, engineering, and research to create intuitive and compelling design solutions • Communicate design decisions through documentation, prototypes, and systems to development and product teams • Mentor junior designers and contribute to a cohesive and forward-looking UX practice • Uphold and promote accessibility standards to ensure products are inclusive and usable by all audiences • Guide design workshops and collaborative brainstorming sessions to drive innovation and stakeholder alignment • Contribute to the development of a design system and uphold design consistency across product touchpoints
