Laka is hiring a Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of its microservices platform, REST APIs, and internal applications. The role will involve working with modern technologies such as Node.js, GoLang, and SQL databases, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall customer experience. As a key part of Laka's engineering team, you will work remotely with occasional travel to offices.
• You have commercial experience with backend development, particularly in Node.js and GoLang. • You have experience working with modern frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, and Redux. • You are comfortable working with REST APIs and GraphQL. • You understand SQL and are familiar with databases. • You are experienced with unit testing and end-to-end testing, using tools like Jest and Cypress. • You have strong communication skills and excel in collaboration and teamwork. • You thrive in a remote-first environment and are eager to learn and adapt.
• Build and enhance Laka's microservices platform, delivering innovative insurance solutions for cyclists across Europe. • Develop and maintain REST APIs for partners to ensure seamless integrations. • Work with modern cloud-based architectures using technologies like Node.js, GoLang, Kubernetes, and AWS. • Develop and maintain internal and external web applications using React and Redux. • Contribute to agile development cycles, engaging in code reviews, pair programming, and team ceremonies. • Promote best engineering practices, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security. • Collaborate with multiple teams to provide solutions and ensure project success.
