Embedded Software Engineer - Set Top Box, based in London with hybrid working arrangements.
• You have strong experience with C and C++ programming in multitasking and multithreading embedded environments. • You possess expertise in Linux application development and POSIX standards. • You have a deep understanding of low-level video software stacks, including AV pipelines and middleware frameworks. • You are knowledgeable in device drivers, boot loaders, board bring-up, and platform software. • You have experience working with System on Chip (SoC) architectures, such as BCM. • You have prior experience developing for RDK platforms. • You are skilled in using development tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Gerrit, and Yocto. • You have strong problem-solving abilities and can effectively plan and anticipate issues. • You are adaptable and willing to take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
• Develop and enhance embedded software solutions for set-top boxes. • Integrate software components with system-on-chip (SoC) architectures. • Work with video and media processing technologies, including AV pipelines. • Optimize device drivers and platform software for performance and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software solutions. • Perform debugging, testing, and validation of software systems. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols. • Conduct system profiling and optimizations for CPU, GPU, and memory performance.
